Playing pop music with its heart in folk and nordic indie music, Jonas and I will release their third and final single from the album Where From Here, which will be released in late September. The double single Love / Yellow Walls will be released digitally on Friday, August 27th.
Love represents the band's most modern delivery. A folk song with a taste of electro and modern pop music. The band itself calls the style ”beat folk”. Love is a story about a reunion of two former lovers in a remote town up north. With memories of good and bad inside a question of why.?
The second song, Yellow Walls, is an adventure in a dreamlike world that takes the listener on the final journey of the upcoming album.
Jonas and I is a band formed around Jonas Ursin and Roope Hakkarainen. The line-up’s acclaimed debut album These Days garnered praise and radio play from around the world and was selected for the top spot in Soundi Magazine's Newcomer of the Year reader poll. After the debut album, the band also released a modern version of Finland's first regional anthem, Savolaisen laulu, which was commissioned for the Finland100 anniversary and mainly re-composed. Savo’s Song, translated from Finnish into English, was performed together with Marco Hietala, known from the Nightwish band.
Humu Records will release the album Where From Here in vinyl and digitally on September 24, 2021. The double single Love / Yellow Walls will be released digitally on Friday, August 27th and can be listened to and downloaded by the media from the player bellow.
